I feel grateful every single day that I get to do this for a living and I can assure you that you can definitely make money off a blog these days. Blogging enabled me to do so many amazing things in life and I know this list will expand over the years. Here are just some of my favorite things I was able to do because of my blog and I really hope it will give you some inspiration to go for this:

• In the first year as a blogger, I was able to support myself fully while completing my bachelor degree. Even when I was crazy working on my dissertation, my online business brought me enough income to pay my bills and even to celebrate my graduation with some fancy bubbles!
• My fiance and I travelled to New Zealand for almost two months while working from the back of a campervan & making a profit!
• We’ve also got to spend some memorable blogging time in New York City. This is where I’ve got to pretend to be Carrie Bradshaw and create some of my top posts in Manhattan’s coffee shops.
• In general, we get to travel the world whenever we want, while still managing to make money online every step of the way.
• We even bought a property funded 100% from this blogging business.
• Finally, I get to really DREAM. Seriously, this is the best part- the sky has no limits when you’re a blogger!

#1 Sponsored Blog Posts

The most common way for fashion bloggers to monetize their blogs is by getting sponsorship from brands. The way this would usually work is you’d get paid to review an item or feature clothing in your outfit posts etc. If you’re blogging regularly, you should soon start receiving e-mails from companies that are interested in working with you, but you don’t necessarily have to sit and wait for the opportunities to fall out from the sky. #2 Virtual Assistant Services

If you can not think about a specific service to offer, but have pretty good tech skills- go ahead and set up your VA services on your blog or advertise your services on other websites. You don’t even have to be an expert in anything specific, although it’s always great if you are! VAs usually take care of the tasks that online entrepreneurs cannot find the time for such as doing research for them, booking tickets or answering simple e-mails. You know you can do it!

If you’ve noticed like your readers are commonly getting in touch with the same questions, you should consider offering paid consultations on your blog. Whatever it is- successful blogging questions or style consultations- you might be able to create a service based business out of this. Perhaps someone needs you to put an outfit together for them or simply consult on which dress might suit their body shape best? Your readers are inspired by your style and they would be extremely happy to have you help them find theirs!

#4 Sponsored Social Media Posts

Monetising your social media is extremely powerful. You can charge brands less for a quick insta-stories mention or include your affiliate links into your tweets. Make sure to avoid spamming your feeds too much tho & don’t forget to be transparent about your sponsored content. Your social media followers have the right to know which posts were sponsored, but it doesn’t mean they will be disappointed in you! We all have to make a living, right?

To those, who are new in the field- affiliate marketing is a way for a business to reward bloggers or online influencers for each visitor/sale brought by the blogger’s own marketing efforts. Thus, if you’re running a fashion blog, choosing fashion/beauty ad types would be very relatable and your readers wouldn’t be bothered by flashy ads that do not have anything to do with your content.

Just do your research, get in touch with networks’ representatives and find your match.
