I started my blog back when I was still studying at the university. I was able to support myself through student loans & scholarships which allowed me to experiment and grow my business without worrying about the income too much. Luckily, I didn’t have to look for a job after I graduated. By the time I was finished with my studies, my blog was already bringing me a full-time income which I felt and still feel so grateful for. I can only imagine how scary it might be to take a step & quit your job to become a full-time blogger.

You should know that going full-time in your blogging career can work out magically tho! Because of this, I wanted to share a few steps that can really help you turn your hobby blog into a business blog and I really hope it will inspire you to take the next step towards your dream!

Put Some Money Aside While You Can

As soon as you make a decision to become a full-time blogger, you should also open a separate savings account and start putting some money aside. Make sure to create yourself a budget & stick to it. It’s important that you learn to manage your money before you start financially relying only on the money you make online. Be smart about your finances & it your whole journey will become so much easier to handle!

If you’re taking your blog seriously and want to actually start making money from it- self-hosting is definitely the way to go.

If you’re not making any income from your blog yet, what’s stopping you? Do your research on affiliate marketing, prepare a media kit template & sent it out to the companies you’d love to work with. You can also come up with the service for your readers such as coaching, digital files download (e-books, e-courses, templates, etc).  Think about what would benefit your community & listen to your gut.

Of course, one might say that that’s exactly what lifestyle blogging is all about, but I couldn’t agree. Even if you want to blog about your life in general, I know for sure that there are some particular areas that you feel more knowledgeable in. Setting the right niche for your blog can do wonders for your overall online success.

I used to blog about EVERY SINGLE THING and that kept me back from properly monetising my blog.
