hey there, friends!
When it comes to talking about beauty products, I would never say that I know enough to advice others on what to use and what to avoid. I’m in fact very experimental user and sometimes I would just buy things only for a nice package or a great price deal. I do of course, fail from time to time and end up with really bad break outs and the only thing that could help me afterwards is – going back to basics. Perfumery, nice looking products would always attract my attention in the shops, but honestly natural beauty products would always be the ones I trust the most. So for today I wanted to share some of my favourites with you all.
LUSH– I have to admit this. I am in unconditional love affair with LUSH products. It could be their smelly bath bombs, their fresh face masks or any seasonal range – I just have to try them all. Some of them I will buy again, some would end up somewhere deep in my bathroom drawer. When moving out, I had to throw away a lot of unused and old bathroom and beauty items and well this was the best chance to see which ones I seriously use and appreciate the most. I ended up leaving those 3 items in my bag:
ULTRABLAND facial cleanser– I massage it across my face in circular motions before removing with a hot, damp towel. It’s amazing at taking foundations off and just leaves your face completely cleaned and refreshed. It also moisturises dry areas pretty well as it contains essential oils and honey.
H’SUAN WEN HUA hair treatment– after continuously bleaching my hair, they have been super dry and dead looking, especially my ends. After using a bunch of drugstore products, I gave this a try and oh boy I was happy I did! I used it twice in the first week and my hair suddenly woke up from the dead!
TEA TREE WATER toner water- I’m absolutely in love with this toner water! I have relatively oily skin and would be at a loss without this. At night, I cleanse and spray the toner on a cotton ball, wipe it all over, and moisturise. In the morning, I just spray this directly onto my face to wake up. It really helps!
Essential oils– I have only discovered using oils as part of my beauty routine a year ago. I was really sceptic about this as my skin is already pretty oily, but once I gave it a try- I never looked back. Mainly, I use Bio Oil to minimise redness on my skin after I had a break out. Coconut oil is just my best buddy all year around. I use it for dry spots all over my body or as a lip moisturiser. Finally, I picked Olive Oil based hair creme over at Boots and it just did wonders to my hair. I used to use just plain olive oil before as a hair mask, but I found it pretty hard to wash off and well, I have to admit that my laziness isn’t easy to fight against.
And last but not least is my favourite item which can be found in any kitchen- honey! Just get a jar of organic honey and you can use it almost anywhere. You can mix honey with water and use the mixture as a hair mask, or mix it with some brown sugar and olive oil and it will become the best body scrub ever. But my absolute favourite way to use it is to make it into a facial cleanser. Just squeeze in some lemon juice (this will clean and brighten your face) and scrub-scrub-scrub! Clean it all off with warm towel and repeat once a week- you’ll thank me later.
I hope you guys enjoyed those tips. Let me know what are your favourite natural beauty products and if you get a chance to try any of the above.
Talk to you soon,
K.
