Evaluate Where You’re At Right Now

To make yourself a plan you first have to know where you’re currently standing. At the end of this post, you will find instructions for downloading a free printable I’ve prepared for you guys. I want you to take the first sheet of this New Year Planner and write down all of your current information. List your social media numbers, your monthly income, pageviews, ways you currently make money from your blog, categories you are currently writing on, etc. It will help you determine your current situation & see what you have to improve the most.

Set Your Goals

This is a fun part! Don’t forget to be very ambitious, yet realistic. Think what you definitely can achieve and then double if not triple that! Use the same printable sheet to list your goal-stats next to your current ones. It might look crazy at first but think about this as a challenge. Dare to visualise the world in which your most treasured dreams have become true, stay positive, work hard & it will happen.

Plan Your Blog Posts

This is not as crazy as it sounds! I’m not telling you must schedule every post, every promotion or every picture at this very moment. However, setting up a topic for each month of 2017 is a great way to see your whole year in perspective.

The second sheet of my Make It Happen: New Year Plan printable is all about that. List down the main topic for every month of the year & think about some suitable blog posts ideas.

By doing this, you will be able to get ready in advance & be more professional. You can also use this plan & get in touch with potential sponsors to let them know which topics you’re currently working on and ask for collaboration opportunities.

Create New Streams of Income

Think about growing your business further. Personally, I am planning to include at least 2 new services into my blog + blog design shop during 2017. I really hope these stick around. However, there’s no shame in bringing up the product & realising your audience might not need it as much as you thought they will. You never know until you try, so just go ahead and do it! Invest

2016 happened to me my most successful year ever. This was also the year when I started investing back into my business. I got a new full frame DLSR camera, I ordered way too many books & signed up for a bunch of paid e-courses. I don’t regret even a single cent I spent on my business & I hope to make even bigger investments in 2017. So don’t be a scrooge when it comes to your blog, start investing into your future!
