Running a blog + business is a constant work. I have a huge checklist of things I do daily in order to grow Kotryna Bass Blog + Design and during the years I figured out what I need to focus on every single day.

Even though I have monthly, quarterly or even yearly tasks I set for myself, I believe in the importance of a daily work. Here are 10 things I do every single day to grow my blog + biz:

WRITE A BLOG POST

Unfortunately, I don’t really do this daily just yet even tho that’s my goal for the future. Although even on the days I don’t have a post to publish, I’d spend some time for preparing my blog content. I might plan a photo shoot, collect material or even pick an outfit for the next #ootd post. It doesn’t have to be a lot of work, but once you’re ready to hit that ‘publish’ button, you’ll be happy to have all the content prepared, at least, a night before.

PIN ON PINTEREST

I have mentioned a few times that my Pinterest is currently undertaking series of experiments in order to see what all the fuss is about and if that magical Pinterest traffic is a myth or not. Thus currently, I start every single morning by opening my Pinterest page and working on it. I rearrange my pins, try to delete the old ones & repin images from my blog or website, I’d then get lost into all those awesome recipes & outfits others share. I’m seriously getting addicted to this!

SHARE OLD POSTS ON SOCIAL MEDIA

As much as I love sharing things on the go, I believe it’s important to share some of your older posts on social media. POST ON INSTAGRAM

Instagram is a big part of my social presence, therefore, I try to post there daily, preferably at least 2-3 times a day. I also share my Instagram posts on my facebook page which always brings me extra traffic.

BEING SOCIAL ON SOCIAL MEDIA

It’s not enough to simply post on social media, you also have to pay attention to what others are posting. Make sure to leave a nice comment or double tap on that Instagram shot you like so much. Showing love to others goes a long way!

COMMENTING ON OTHER BLOGS

The truth is, bloggers are the ones that comment on your blog. Regular readers can be active on social media, but when it comes to getting comments on your blog- other bloggers are the ones bringing up a conversation. I know you love receiving comments on your blog & let me tell you- other bloggers love it too!

ANSWER EMAILS

Taking time to answer emails is one of the most important tasks I do daily. Customer service is important. Therefore, I make sure to reply to every single email I receive & do it in a friendly, informative manner.

WORK ON CLIENTS PROJECTS

Every morning I prepare a list of the tasks I have to finish for the day ahead. I try to complete premade blog design requests as soon as I receive them & I also spend time every day on improving current custom design projects. I hate postponing things, thus doing my design work every day is a must for me.

BRAINSTORM

I usually come up with at least 2 or 3 ideas for my future blog posts or products every day. I get inspired by reading other blogs, reading or simply browsing through Pinterest.

RELAX

It’s important to wind off in order to do my work well. I try to dedicate some time to myself daily by watching a movie, reading, meeting with friends or simply running myself a bath. Working 24/7 might seem like a great idea if everything is not going according to your plan, but trust me- relaxing helps you to see the work you do from a different perspective.
