This weekend, I got to jump on an Ecolines bus to Warsaw and had the best time ever! Curious to find out what I’ve been up to while down there? Make a cuppa and get ready for a picture heavy post.
We’ve left our home town on Thursday afternoon and have arrived in Warsaw by the evening.
Luckily, Ecolines had Wi-Fi available on board, so we were able to successfully finish all of our tasks before the weekend kicked in.
The journey itself was smooth and it wasn’t long before we’ve reached Warsaw. I was SO excited!
After a quick Uber drive, we’ve arrived at our beautiful Bez Kantow Boutique room. I absolutely adored this place & would recommend it to anyone planning to visit Warsaw soon. It’s one of the most stylish places I’ve ever stayed at and the staff was just lovely!
We had Friday full of plans ahead of us & didn’t want to stay up very late, so we decided to visit a small cocktail bar nearby called Klar.
They served us with some well-deserved drinks & snacks and we were off to a great start.
The next morning, after breakfast at Sucre we were so ready to get to know this beautiful city.
I’m not that big of a shopaholic, but somehow on every trip, I end up visiting at least a couple of interior boutiques & magazine shops. This weekend wasn’t an exception. We first stopped by a beautiful homeware shop called NAP, they seriously have everything you’d ever need for your bedroom & more! You can also find many more boutiques & stylish shops in the same building, so make sure to pay a visit if you’re around.
We also fell in love with Super Salon, the cutest magazine shop with such a great selection of publications. Definitely worth your attention!
We have then spent a good couple of hours walking the beautiful streets of Warsaw, I mean, just look at this…
We ended up visiting the Palace Culture & Science which completely took our breaths away. If you’re keen to take a glance to the city from the very top- definitely stop by!
Before we knew it- it was time for lunch, so we’ve paid a visit to NOWO. Everything from the interior to the menu options seemed perfect. We knew we were in for a treat!
Post lunch, we aimed to check out one of the best looking dessert shops called Lukullus. It was recommended to us by a friend & boy it was impressive. Their interior is so up my street and desserts… well I can’t describe them, you must give it a try yourself!
We have then walked around the city some more, stopping by to admire The University of Warsaw. Established in 1816, it is the largest university in Poland & it has the cosiest, historical vibe going on.
Our day ended by meeting up with a friend at Opasly Tom where we’ve got to experience some local cuisine with a twist. Very classy place!
We even did go out post dinner and sadly I don’t have many images to share as it was too dark, but here are some of the places you can visit if you’re up for experiencing nightlife in Warsaw: Cafe Kulturalna, Bar Studio, Smolna.
The next morning, we went out for breakfast at Charlotte. The weather was great enough to sit outside, so we took a chance to enjoy some mimosas with the view to the city.
To make the day even better, we jumped on the city bikes & drove to Centrum Sportowo-Rehabilitacyjne for a swim! I have recently rediscovered my passion for swimming again & it was so refreshing to jump into a cool water for an hour!
For the last few hours of our time in Warsaw, we’ve had a wonderful lunch at Ujazdowski Castle Centre for Contemporary Art cafe & visited an exhibition afterwards. To put the cherry on top, we had a lovely walk in the park with some beautiful sightseeing spots & stopped by Coffee Karma for some Tapas and ice cold drinks. What a lovely end to our trip!
We then took an Ecolines bus & I slept all the way back, haha! So many memories I get to bring back!
