What a week it was! On Wednesday, we packed our bags and ran away from the city with a group of friends. I did take my laptop with me to finish off some tasks, but it was so refreshing to change the location! It’s been over 30 degrees down here, and I feel like I’m hitting all the Nordic stereotypes as I keep constantly complaining about how hot it is. We’re probably getting some rain today, fingers crossed. Alright, time to catch up! Here are some of the things that went on this week…
This week on the blog, I opened up on a crucial topic to me as a person & a business owner. I talked about making peace with your financial situation where I shared my thoughts & fears about my relationship with money and how I’m trying to improve my skills in budgeting. I feel like to take my blog + shop to the next level I first have to sort out my current position and start taking my business seriously. I’ve been a freelancer for over three years now and only recently began to worry about putting my finances in order.
I’ve been practising my new approach toward financing for a couple of months now, and I can already feel more relaxed and put together. Not knowing where your money goes is so stressful. I realised that being irresponsible about the money I earn, makes me feel anxious about my life and my business, and that’s simply not something I can easily live with. I personally need a regime in my life to be happy & for this reason, I decided that enough is enough! Read through this week’s post to see what changes I made and how I learned to make peace with my financial situation.
I didn’t have that much time to spend looking for goodies online as I was more into tanning and swimming for the past week, but I recently discover a podcast by Elise Joy, and I’ve been catching up on all the previous episodes! You guys should check her out if you’re looking for some creative inspiration.
I also launched two new WordPress themes on my website, and I’m so thrilled to introduce them to you all!
We finally updated our most-downloaded WordPress Theme “Fashion Spy” and I absolutely love how this turned out! It now has a sleeker menu, better design elements, and new modern twist. I know you all are going to love these changes!
The second theme we just launched is our latest “Queensland” WordPress Blog Design. It’s very minimal, clean and would look awesome featuring all those awesome outfit pics you share! If you’re not a fan of 1 column layouts, you can also pick full post + sidebar or list-style layout instead!
I feel so blessed to see more and more bloggers using KBD templates. I’m currently working on some custom design projects and can’t wait to share those once they’re finished! I will then be taking upon some clients for fall, so get in touch if you’re interested in having your blog designed uniquely for you!
If custom designs are not within your budget right now, getting a premade Blogger or WordPress theme are just what you need to make your blog look more branded and put together! Take a look at Alexandra and The Stylinguist now using our Madeira Blogger Template. I absolutely love how awesome their blogs look, after a very quick, yet professional update!
I also love seeing Radiant Magazine coming together and posting more & more useful resources for us all as I had a chance to help Kelsey develop their brand new website a couple of months ago. Go ahead and show them some love! I know these girls are building something HUGE together, and they surely deserve support from the community.
I feel so well reconnected with my inner self, and this has a lot of to do with me spending more time outside. I seriously can’t wait to be able to spend most of my time away from the city, and we’re working on this for next year. I won’t tell the exact deets, but I want you to keep your fingers crossed for us! Don’t get me wrong- I love my old town apartment, but I feel a need of a little getaway place in my life where I can breathe, relax and write with fewer interferences. For now, I’m putting all of my dreams into this Pinterest board here, it helps, haha!
I also start getting intense travel cravings. Hopefully, the boy and I will be taking at least a little road trip at the end of the summer. The time will show! Although, summer is clearly the season for running away and I’m so excited to get the most out of it!
Hope your summer is going well, friends! Make sure to follow me on Instagram or Snapchat to get instant updates!
Hope you enjoyed this post, friends!
