on Saturday the boy, I and a couple of our friends took a 4 hours drive from Brighton to visit beautiful Dorset and enjoy some nature!
Our fist stop was to see Durdle Door- a natural limestone arch on the Jurassic Coast. It’s so beautiful out there, folks! Brighton’s beaches suddenly became not cool enough, haha. It was a bit cloudy tho and we weren’t brave enough to swim, but we noticed some people just floating in the water for hours, so we guessed that the water is way warmer than where we come from. Till the next time, Durdle Door, then!
By the time we reached our campsite it was already starting to get late, so we just prepared our “home” for the night and got some food to BBQ while enjoying some talks and beers. We were a bit disappointed that the local pub decided not to show England-Italy match, but we still managed to watch it that night. 4 people, 1 iphone and BBC iplayer- it wasn’t bad at all!
Next morning after having English breakfast at the campsite, we packed our backpacks and wandered to find a sandy beach. Lovely lady working in the petrol station recommended us to visit Lyme Regis and so we did! Even though it was really busy, to see the sandy beach was something we all were really excited about. In Brighton, all you get to lie on are those hard and sharp rocks which I already got used to, but sometimes it’s nice to remember what proper beach is supposed to look (and feel) like.
We spent the rest of our afternoon sunbathing, chatting and napping. It was the best lazy Sunday in a long time. The time just flew by and it was about the time for us to go back home. We stopped in Weymouth for some suspicious, local fish&chips before hitting the road again. I then slept all the way through our ride back. Me and the boy finished our day having a pint in our local spot and planning our future adventures!
I hope you enjoyed this!
Let me know what you’ve been up to this weekend!
Talk to you soon.
