I dunno about you guys, but Saturdays for me are made for taking care of yourself & your home. Even though it’s tempting to stay in your yoga pants all day, I do try & force myself to get up, get dressed & even put some make-up on. ‘No makeup’ makeup looks have been all over the blogosphere lately. I’d like to share my favourite products to achieve that perfect minimal make up look.
Starting with the foundation, I recently picked up a Clinique’s Even Better makeup in shade 03 while in an airport. I needed a light foundation with SPF, that could give coverage too & I’m glad to say I finally found it! This fluid foundation evens & corrects your skin without any of that cake look or feeling. As I’m having a bit of a breakout I also used Maybelline’s Fit Me concealer to hide all the blemishes and Matte Maker mattifying powder. I haven’t used Maybelline’s makeup in ages & I can’t say I got very disappointed this time, it really did the job! I finished off with just a touch of Bourjois Little Round Pot Blush.
If I don’t feel like wearing mascara at all, I’d just use an eyelash curler. However today, I added just a touch of Soup & Glory’s Thick & Fast Mascara. Now it usually makes my lashes pretty long and thick, so if you’re trying to avoid that- use just a little by the roots. I skipped on eyeshadow completely this time and just filled in my eyebrows a bit with a dark brown eyeshadow.
Have you guys forgot about Babylips balms? Everyone’s been praising them all over the internet a couple of years ago. I grabbed a PINK PUNCH shade yesterday while paying a visit at my local drugstore as my lips were getting pretty dry & I remembered what it was all about! It smells amazing, looks cute & hydrates your lips very well. What else can you need for a minimal makeup look?
Let me know if you tried any of these products. Have you been loving this no make-up trend lately?
