With smartphone industry growing bigger and bigger everyday, there is no need to have a fancy DSLR camera if you’re a blogger. If you’re like me, however, you’d probably still want to have extra gadget just for taking pictures. Few months ago I blogged about compact camera I’ve been using, but this time I got a chance to try something what brings both of these things together. My geeky side is always excited to try any new technologies out there and when people from Nokia contacted me and offered to try their new Nokia Lumia 1020, I just couldn’t say no.
My first impression on the phone was “it’s massive!”. I’m still using my oldie iphone 4s, but to be honest with you- I’m pretty bored of it already. Having this new phone in my hands with massive screen and large camera lens was beyond exciting! I absolutely loved how it’s size didn’t affect overall elegance of corpus design.
The camera is clearly the highlight of the phone. Like a true camera, the phone has both an LED light for focus and a xenon flash. The main USP of this phone is the powerful 41 megapixel camera with Carl Zeiss lens. It also comes with a camera grip to make it even more like a camera. I was highly impressed by the quality of the pictures this gadget can produce. I will let you guys to see this for yourself:
The camera also produces amazing videos. Unfortunately I didn’t film anything worth showing, so I hope you’ll trust my word on this. Overall, it’s a great gadget if you’re looking for a new smartphone, but want just something a bit more special. The operation system is pretty exciting too and pretty easy to navigate, so no worries here. I also noticed that Nokia is now offering their own software for music/picture editing etc, so I bet you will have a bunch of add-ons to improve your experience with!
Hope you enjoyed this! Is anyone out there a big Nokia fan? I’d love to hear from ya!
Have a terrific weekend, friends!
x,
