I finally reached my 10k milestone on Instagram and as you guys enjoyed my 5k report, I thought it would be a great idea to turn this into a little tradition!

Since April, I’ve been gaining around 1k followers a month which is absolutely amazing! I’ve been on Instagram for years, but it never seemed to grow as fast as I wanted it to. Finally, I believe I found a few hacks that can help you grow quicker. Here they are:

STRUCTURE

Your feed needs to make sense if you want people to find & follow you. Don’t be random & create yourself a strategy. For example, you can share your personal stories during the weekend & dedicate workdays for business entries. Or you can promote your content in every 3d post only. Find whatever what works for you & stick to the plan. This will also make content creation easier for you. When you know what content you need for each day- you will be able to prepare in advance & produce the best entries.

HASHTAGS

I love using hashtags. I use them in my own posts as well as look for new people to follow through them. However, if you’re currently using the most popular hashtags you might have already noticed that you don’t get as many likes or engagement. The truth is, you should find hashtags that have less than 100k mentions. Open your hashtags list and click on every single word or combination. You will see a mention count under the hashtag’s title. By doing this, you will be able to reach a more engaged audience as well as have a chance to be featured in TOP POSTS area.

ENGAGEMENT

Look, there’s no way around it. If you want people to engage into your pictures, you need to do your part as well. I usually dedicate my weekends for commenting/liking other’s content on Instagram. I also go through my hashtags list & comment on some of the eye-catching posts just before + after I publish a new entry. This means DAILY engagement with my targeted audience.

SHARING ELSEWHERE

Let your followers elsewhere know about your Instagram life. I use my favourite social media scheduling tools to share my Instagram posts on my other social media accounts. I also include links to my Instagram on my blog & newsletter posts. The easier your audience can find you- the more chances they’ll turn into followers.
