I’m writing this post after a wonderful Christmas celebration with my family. We still have a few days to go until 2019 comes, so I thought this would be just a perfect time to look back to each month of 2018.
January
The year started with us already settled in Nida, the most remote part of the country where we’ve enjoyed endless walks by the Baltic sea and got to experience the most beautiful winter ever.
February
We’ve started our February with the anual trip to the mountains and visited Les Gets this time. I feel like I’ve really had a break through this year in my skiing skills and I can’t wait to improve myself even further throughout the years to come.
March
In March, we took a spontaneous trip and visited Oslo, Norway as well as made a quick stop in UK to visit our beloved friends in Brighton and London.
April
With spring coming up, I couldn’t wait any longer and flew to meet my friend in Greece. It’s been a long time since I’ve got to enjoy this type of girly, no-plans-whatsoever holiday and getting some tan early was a real highlight of my year!
May
In May, we’ve actually moved away from Nida. We loved staying in this beautiful place a lot, but the life has called and we’ve decided to go back to the city life, yet so much had to be done in order to make this happen.
June
Summer has begun with us taking things slow, finally getting to update all the themes for KotrynaBassDesign and really working hard on our clients’ projects and new challenges. With the sun out and mornings bright I, my productivity levels have really skyrocketed and this ended up being one of the most successful months of the year.
July
July marked us buying our first home! We’ve found a cozy fixer-upper in the old town of Vilnius and suddenly fell like this place could be turned into our home. There was endless paperwork that needed to be complete and a few sleepless nights worrying if it’s going to happen at all, yet in July we were able to finally start calling ourselves brand new homeowners!
August
2018 was really a year I could not have planned in advance. In August, I have also somehow ended up starting a new business with a wonderful partner Beata. A website dedicated to self-love, sex and relationships www.nebegeda.lt, thus August was pretty much all about all the bits + pieces needed to be completed in order to launch a new project.
September
In September, we have officially started our renovation process, not gonna lie- all of this apartment & new business stuff pretty much took over the rest of the year, so it’s been a bit hectic yet helluva exciting.
October
October was filled with business meeting, decision making and driving back and forth to Vilnius to check on the progress of our apartment. The month was simply beautiful tho and we ended up falling in love with this season and it’s changing nature.
November
We’ve finally got to move into our apartment in November. Of course, there are still loads of things to do and we’re still sleeping on the mattress, but I can happily call this place my home already and we’re seriously living in such a happy-bubble these days!
December
I was kind of expecting to have a lazy December, but it turned out to be one of the most exciting (& quite overwhelming) months of the year. We have started working on a Youtube channel for Nebegeda, started a new online shop and worked with all the exciting new clients for KotrynaBassDesign. The month ended with the most relaxing time spent with our families and we’re leaving the city for the last days to meet our friends and mark New Year’s Eve while hiding in nature.
Overall, it’s been a great year! I haven’t planned any of ths to happen by the end of 2017, yet sometimes we just have to let go of our plans and enjoy what the universe brings our way. I believe 2019 has even more to offer and I can’t wait to bring you guys along with me!
