I’m writing this post snuggled with my pup on the couch, after a great NYE celebration and very chilled out Friday. I’m in no rush to start 2016, but I believe it’s going to be a great year. 2015, you really been good to me, I look back to what happen in the past 12 months with a smile on my face.
We started our year with a Skiing trip to France. I felt absolutely in love with mountains all over again. We might be skipping a winter break this year and it’s absolutely breaking my heart. I now know for sure what all the fuss is about.
Even though I haven’t blogged a lot for the first half of the year, I did my best to catch up and relaunched my blog after summer. I started posting regularly and included various new topics such as Blogging Tips, Business and Weekly Round-Ups. I also kept my OOTD and Beauty topics active and got to work with a bunch of impressive brands.
I also managed to build and maintain my following via social media platforms. My instagram, facebook and twitter pages now have almost 3 times more followers than they did at the beginning of the year. I couldn’t be happier to have all of the support from you guys!
This year I took my working routine to another level and together with a few other creatives opened an office space downtown. I blogged about it here if you’re wondering why I stopped working from home. It really changed my productivity to the better, I hope to properly furnish it this year and add more decor elements, so it feels cozy and creative!
We moved to Vilnius last September, but it was only 2015 when we actually felt like home in here. I love our old town apartment, I love the best people around us and that everything is walking distance away, I love being closer to my family and nature. Summer down here was so much fun too, we had the best time ever! I couldn’t be happier about our decision to move back, I’m excited to see what 2016 will bring our way!
Living in Europe is just perfect for short city breaks. All of the historic capitals are just short fly away and it’s silly not to take advantage of this. Thus in July, me & the boy run away to the other side of Baltic sea for some quality time together. It was a blast, read full post here!
I feel like I learned so much during 2016. Even if I could list you the exact areas I improved in, I feel prouder of my overall feeling. At this point, I am way more confident in what I’m doing and I can actually put my future plans right on the table. I feel safe as I managed to bring home steady pay check every single month and exceeded my last year’s income by the end of the fall. I also almost completely moved from ETSY and now make 80% of my earnings through my self hosted website- Kotryna Bass Design. I loved selling through ETSY, but being in charge of your own shop is much better!
I also managed to make one of my dreams come true as we travelled to NYC for 2 weeks to get to know the vibe and enjoy some pre Christmas time. It was so much fun and I look back to it with a huge smile on my face. I know for sure that I am coming back one day! You can find some of my adventures here, here and here.
We were planning to get a dog since the first day we started dating 6 years ago. Even tho we both are huge animal lovers the timing never felt right and we never felt ready to commit. In April our friends were traveling to Asia and we volunteered to take care of their dog Vince, we didn’t expect to grow so close with the little fella and once his owners got back from their adventures we felt heart broken. We made a promise to get our own dog asap and once we saw the add online that someone sheltered this little pooch I knew that it must be us that give him his forever family. It’s been a month since we brought him home and I can’t imagine my life any other way now. He was the perfect cherry on top for the year of 2015 and I’m soo excited to have all the fun and see him grow in the next year!
This guy stood by my side through tears and joy and I couldn’t be more thankful. We’re working as a team on our relationship and plans every single day and I’m very lucky to have him. I’m excited for our next year together and I can feel that it’s going to be very special for our little family.
2015 have passed incredibly quickly, I can actually remember myself doing the round-up post last year and it seems like yesterday.
Last time, I wrote:
I dedicate next year to happiness. I want to leave doubts, complains and anxiety behind me. I wanna learn to love unconditionally, work with a meaning and enjoy giving instead of getting. I’m on my way…
These are pretty much the same goals for 2016. Even though I grew to know myself well enough to let go of the things that bring me down, I still would love to be more positive and a bit more laid back. I choose to be happy and make everyone around me know how much they mean to me.
Here you go, friends. I hope for 2016 to be even better and I promise to bring you a bunch of useful posts your way, so stay with me!
