I’m just going to go ahead and say it: I LOVE MONEY.
I’m not even sorry.
I feel somewhat relieved to put this out loud and I want you to do the same.
I like the fact that with money, I can continue to work on my dream projects. I can continue to be there for my son and not sacrifice my career. With money, I can be my own boss, I can control my own time and I can say NO to projects that do not feel like me .
And the best part is about admitting that I love money and I want more money, I have every chance of actually making that money.
You see, I don’t believe that making money is in any way a bad reason to start a business.
Not at all.
But I believe you should know your WHY when you step into the world of entrepreneurship.
My WHY was very obvious to me: I wanted to help others, I needed a creative outlet, but I also wanted to keep my freedom.
Here’s why I’ve never aimed to build a corporation, here’s why I’ve hired out before I was ready, here’s why the majority of my income now comes from selling digital products (it literally helps me make money in my sleep!).
My why is to earn the money that will allow my family to travel, to have things that would make our life easier. My why allows me to drink coffee slowly in the mornings with my beloved life-partner without worrying about our bills. My why gives me all the freedom to spend an entire day with my son if I feel like he needs me.
Here’s why I know I have to build a fully automated business making 5-figures each month.
My why might change later on, but for now it’s what I stick to.
I want to have a chance to live and work abroad or live in the woods if I want to. I don’t want to choose between slow living and comfort, I want to experience both worlds on my own terms.
Now your why might be different.
You might want to build the next Google or you simply want to make that extra $1000 each month to help your family cover the bills. You might even want to save the planet and that’s absolutely an amazing WHY to stick to.
No matter how big you’re planning to go – you need to know your why because building your business and making decisions for it will strongly depend on it.
Not knowing why how much money your business needs to make for you to feel good can make you set goals that are not big enough or goals that stress the hell out of ya.
To help you determine your financial goals, grab your notebook, and write down answers to these questions.
These answers will help you build a strong foundation on why you actually want to make more money and will hopefully give you some idea on how you can make it happen!
