The first thing you’ll hear from any savvy online marketer is that you need a lot of traffic to make your online business into a success. I’m not saying you need to build a huge traffic straight away tho. In fact, I believe you can start making money from your blog/website even if you don’t have a significant audience yet. However, the fact is, the more people see your site, the more potential customers you can have. Thus, to improve your chance of turning your website into a success, you should work on creating consistent traffic of active, engaged users that are happy to visit your website every month.

#1 Staying Consistent

If you really want to grow a loyal audience that keeps coming back for more, you have to keep bringing that content. Decide how many posts a week you feel comfortable in creating. It’s important to stay consistent, so I’d say- start small. I currently post about 3-4 posts every week. Even after 3 years it sometimes feels like a lot of work. Blogging is FUN, but preparing high-quality posts can take a lot of your time. Instead of just posting randomly- prepare a schedule and really commit to sticking to it! #4 Guest Posting

“Guest posting” means writing and publishing an article on someone else’s website or blog. It’s common for bloggers to collaborate with other bloggers this way and it’s an amazing way for you to boost your traffic! Find bloggers in a familiar niche and send them a quick e-mail to see if they accept guest posts! You might even end up making a new blogging buddy!

#5 Analyzing YOUR Audience

I often send out a quick survey to my subscribers & seeing the results really help me put everything into perspective. By exploring the answers received I can actually see what my audience expect from me & the feedback always boost my confidence by quite a bit, haha!

#5 Understanding That Content Is The Key

In January 1996, Bill Gates wrote an essay titled “Content is King”, which was published on the Microsoft website. “Content is where I expect much of the real money will be made on the Internet”- he said & boy was he right! “If people are to be expected to put up with turning on a computer to read a screen, they must be rewarded with deep and extremely up-to-date information that they can explore at will.”- Gates continued and no-one could argue with this guy even twelve years since the essay was first published.

You see, the content we create is actually the key. If you really care about your audience and will continue to put in the work and effort into your blog- your traffic will grow! Make sure to really do your research & provide that high-quality content your tribe is looking for, start taking your blog seriously, commit, really re-think your purpose and strategies, ignore the haters, create beautiful online brand & just keep blogging!
