I’ve started this blog of mine over five years ago with no intention of turning it into something more than just a hobby. Surprise, surprise… Only a few months into blogging, I felt unconditionally in love with making things happen online. I even opened my blog design shop and I’ve been working for myself full-time ever since. I couldn’t be more grateful to the blogging community for supporting me along the way and today I wanted to share 5 things I love about being a blogger.

Opportunities

I get to do so many brilliant things because of my blog. I get the most amazing sponsorship deals, I get to travel, I get to meet people I admire to bits and the best thing- I never know what else is coming my way. Sometimes, I even have to pinch myself! All of those awesome blogging opportunities make me appreciate this job every day and for this, I can strongly state that I’m 100% happy about my career decisions.

Being Able To Help Others

Helping others is a key to happiness, really! Every time I get an e-mail from you guys saying that my blog inspired you to start your own blog or just go for your dreams in general, I get butterflies. Seriously, helping others to find their path in life is the best feeling in the whole world and it makes me feel like a have a real purpose.

Freedom

Rumour has it, bloggers often work in their pyjamas. It doesn’t mean that we are all lazy, not at all. What it really shows is that we have an opportunity to choose. Having complete freedom over your time can be scary, but at the same time, it is so liberating. I feel grateful every day to know that I can take that last minute holiday if I want to or just take my morning slow if I had to work until early am last night.

It can be stressful to be your own boss, but it definitely brings some benefits to the table. Becoming a full-time blogger meant I was no longer attached to any location. As much as I enjoy having my routine, I feel so happy to know that I have a chance to run away to the other side of the world whenever I feel like it. I blogged from a campervan driving around New Zealand, I wrote some of my top posts at Brooklyn’s coffee shops and during the summer, I always prefer working from the seaside. How awesome is that?

Space To Grow

There are simply no limits to blogging. If you get 1k page views a month, you can then reach for 10k, 100k or a million! Your goal can be as big as reach every single person online with your content and no-one would laugh at you as it might actually be possible. Of course, you will have to work your ass off, but you can definitely make things happen if you put work into it! There’s no-one to stop you or limit your goals. As long as I’m blogging I feel the urge to read more, to learn more, to improve myself in order to provide best possible content for my blog.

Other Bloggers

The blogging community is the most inspiring, friendly bunch of people you will ever get to meet! I’ve got to communicate with the brightest minds out there and I’m extremely impressed by every new idea, new product or new content piece they release! You will definitely meet a few blogging buddies along the way as well, no doubts on that!
