I started my digital blog design business back in 2013 and back then, I think I only had a handful of followers. Most of them also were friends that had nothing to do with blogging whatsoever. Lack of audience wasn’t an obstacle for me to start earning a full-time income only a few months after launching my online biz. Thus today, I decided to share 3 ways for you to start selling your products or services online even with zero following. 

Fiverr

This is where I personally got started. I know that $5 for your time doesn’t sound like you can make a living out of, but it’s a great place to start at. You can use it for building up your portfolio or landing some proper future projects.

So this is not a quick solution, of course. My first month on Fiverr I earned like $40, but you know what? I was so damn proud of myself! I hustled my butt off and provided quality work and well… this really paid off!

I am now counting my 4th year of working online full-time and my numbers keep growing daily! Don’t feel like $5 is not worth your time, your first clients will allow you to grow, improve and understand what your audience is really looking for!

Etsy

Good old Etsy isn’t only made for selling those vintage knits or DIY candles. Although those are pretty awesome too!

In fact, you can also use Etsy for selling your digital files or services. I’ve been selling my blog design templates from the early beginning and until this day, it is a great place for me to make some extra income each month. The best thing is when it comes to Etsy- you don’t have to care about driving traffic to your shop other there as Etsy provides their own advertising. Of course, there are some benefits of starting your own e-commerce shop straight away, but if you don’t want to worry about building a website, managing your payments and growing your audience in the early stages- this is a great place to start.

Creative Market

Creative Market is an online marketplace for community-generated design assets. The company sells graphics, WordPress themes, stock photography, and other digital goods for use by web creatives. You get accepted straight away & they have a huge audience of loyal users, so you can get some generous orders straight away if you play your cards right. You can also offer your freebies out there if you’re looking for some extra exposure! Such a great community for making your first check and finding some loyal clients!
