I truly believe that sharing is caring. Reading income + brand reports by other bloggers inspired me a lot to keep improving my business. For this reason, I decided to share my own Blog + Business reports. I also want my customers & readers to get a better idea of the behind the scenes of Kotryna Bass Blog + Design.

By sharing these reports,  I want to show you guys that making a living online is legit and if you still have doubts about starting a blog, I really hope these reports will inspire you to at least give it a go.

Income

This quarter has its ups and downs, compared to last quarter my income was slightly lower, but I’m still exceeding my previous year’s income by quite a bit. For all of those wondering how the heck I make money from my blog + biz here is all of my sources

Design Shop– 58%
ETSY + Creative Market– 2%
Affiliate Income- 30%
Blog Consulting– 5%
Other- 5%

Total passive income: 90%

I’m so thrilled to see my affiliate income growing every quarter. It all really took a turn once I took Making Sense of Affiliate Marketing course. The course was created by Michelle who currently earns over $50,000 a month through affiliate marketing, and she shares all of the best tips in this course. In this course, there are 6 modules, over 30 lessons, over 20 worksheets, bonuses, an extremely helpful exclusive Facebook group, and more, and she goes through everything when it comes to affiliate marketing. It really helped me create a strategy for my affiliate earnings and I’m so excited to see the results!

My passive income this quarter was 90% which is beyond exciting. As you guys know, love working on my Custom Blog Design projects or Blog Consulting, but at the end of the day, I feel like I can do so much more and create better content if I make income through passively. Selling premade blog designs & selling digital goods is what I’m really interested in and I hope to bring even more digital products to you guys this year!

Overall, it was a great half of the year and I really want to focus towards the growth in the next six months.

Expenses

I actually have a bunch of personal errands to take care of this quarter, so sadly I had to cut down on business expenses. I don’t think this is right in anyways and I truly believe that investing back into your business is the only way to take your work & your income to the next level. I look forward to taking more courses & putting the money back into my biz in the next half of the year.

Am I Satisfied?

This quarter, we were working on updating Kotryna Bass Design themes as we’ve made improving the products we sell our no. 1 priority. We want for our themes to take less time to install and we want to give our clients an opportunity to design their blogs easily without that much guidance from us. This decision will hopefully give us some extra time to focus on creating content & communicating better with you guys instead of spending hours providing tech support. I talked more about this in my previous post.

I hate excuses, but when you do this boring, desk work, there’s not that much content I can physically produce for my social media channels and well, my blog too. Honestly, this quarter was dedicated to all of the admin work. Re-coding our products isn’t always fun, but I know it’s going to be great in a long run. This work takes time and it isn’t glamorous, but I believe that working in seasons is the best way I can run this business of mine. I needed to take a step back from working on the content and focus on behind the scenes. The next quarter I hope to be more interactive with my audience and bring more exciting content your way!

Despite that, I know that we’ve done what we had to & I’m so bloody proud of us for this!
