Guys, 2017 is flying by so fast, huh?? I can’t believe that second quarter of the year is already over. I hope you enjoyed my Q1 report I shared with you all a few months back. I hope you guys enjoyed following my growth so far!

I truly believe that sharing is caring. Reading income + brand reports by other bloggers helped me big time on improving myself. For this reason, I decided to share my Blog + Business reports, so that my customers and readers can get a better idea of the behind the scenes of Kotryna Bass Blog + Design.

Alright, so here is the summary of how I did in the second quarter of 2017.

Income

I’m beyond excited to see that my Q2 of 2017 exceeded Q1’s income by 30%. That’s a crazy growth! What’s even more exciting- by comparing my Q2 income report of 2016, I noticed that this year, I exceeded my Q2 income by 75%. To be fair, I did work my butt off…

For all of those wondering how the heck I made money from my blog + biz during Q2 here are all of my sources:

Design Shop– 68%
ETSY– 10%
Affiliate Income- 17%
Blog Consulting– 4 %
Other- 1%

Total passive income: 77%

I’ve been taking quite a few Custom Blog Design projects this quarter which ended up affecting my overall passive income score. However, I’ve actually really enjoyed developing more advanced websites and blogs.

I also got to work with a few of my clients through blog consulting services and that brought me 4% of my income. If you’re looking for some help in turning your blog into your business- drop me a line & we will get to work!

I haven’t increased my affiliate income drastically this quarter, but I’m very glad to see it’s been bringing me a steady income every month. I already did some digging & will be expanding this area during Q3 & Q4. Hopefully, I will be able to share the successful results with you all in the next report!

Expenses

During Q2, I’ve spent the majority of my time completing custom development projects, therefore there wasn’t much time left for taking online courses etc. We also ended up having some personal expenses this quarter which is actually really exciting, but I’m not ready to share the deets just yet. Therefore, I didn’t have that many extra expenses in my business during Q2.

Traffic

I noticed a significant & steady increase of traffic this quarter. Especially, on my design website. I believe this was one of the biggest causes for my income increase as well. However, I haven’t been blogging here on kotrynabass.com that often. I’m back for good now tho & hope to focus more on my blog for the rest of the year.

Social Media

Here are some of the numbers I took note of on, 9th of January, 6th of April 2017 and today:

I haven’t been focusing on growing my following further in the last couple of quarters. I really wanted to focus on the audience I already have & show them as much as love as possible.

I might be shifting to the growth focus a bit more in the upcoming quarters, but in all honesty, I’m pretty confident about my current tribe already!

Am I satisfied?

As much as I loved developing more custom designs in the last quarter, I feel a bit disappointed in myself for leaving my blog behind. I even had to take a full-on blogging break which ended up being the best decision ever, but I still feel like I failed some of my most loyal readers. In Q3, I hope to be more social, more engaged in the blogging community & in general, more active on my own blog. Let me know what topics you’d like for me to cover!
