I hope you enjoyed my Q1 report, Q2 report & Q3 report I’ve already shared with you all in 2017, I love sharing my growth with you all and I hope it can give you a better idea of what goes behind the scenes of my business. 

I truly believe that sharing is caring. Reading income + brand reports by other bloggers helped me big time on improving myself. For this reason, I decided to share my Blog + Business reports, so that my customers and readers can get a better idea of the behind the scenes of Kotryna Bass Blog + Design.

Income

Luckily, I’ve already exceeded my 2016 income by the end of the third quarter. This meant that during Q4 we had a chance to focus on the growth only.

If you’re wondering how the heck I made money from my blog + biz during Q4, here are all of my sources:

Design Shop– 64%
ETSY– 5%
Affiliate Income- 25%
Blog Consulting– 2 %
Other- 4%

Total passive income: 89%

I’m so thrilled to see my Affiliate income grew by 3% this quarter. I wish to increase this even further in 2018 & I’ve been learning on this topic A LOT.

I feel like this is the field I truly want to expand in during the new year. I love sharing my expertise. I love guiding my audience to the products or services that can really make their life easier to manage. Thus, affiliate marketing makes a lot of sense for me to focus on!

My passive income this quarter reached 89% which is CRAZY. As you guys know, love working on my Custom Blog Design projects or Blog Consulting, but by the end of the day, I feel like I can do so much more and create better content if I make income through passive ways. We’ll see how this grows in 2018! I’m very excited!

Overall, this has been the biggest year of my business financially! I couldn’t be any prouder!

Expenses

Quarter 4 was all about learning, so I went a bit hard on expenses. I tried out a bunch of new tools to run my business, I subscribed to e-courses, I paid for consultations, I kind of did it all! This really helped me to reflect on the past year and got SO excited about making 2018 even better!

Traffic + Social Media

Traffic wise it’s been great! Instead of growing my social media numbers, I decided to start focussing on my SEO. The first change I’ve made I actually narrowed down my niche even further and I’ve been creating a bunch of posts. I’m very excited to share even more content in the upcoming quarter with you all. The funny thing is, the more I write, the easier it gets!

Newsletter

I’ve been a bit more active with my newsletter in Q4, but I still can not wait that I’ve created a proper strategy as of yet. I’m now sharing at least one motivational type of post during a week and do kind of a round-up post on Fridays which you guys seem to love. I wish to really work on my newsletter in 2018 and make it into a proper source for my business.

Am I satisfied?

Running your own business can be tough sometimes,  I don’t think one could ever be fully satisfied. I feel like I will always have something I want to improve here on the blog or my design business, but I’m now in the process of learning to feel grateful for what I already have. It’s all about the journey, right?

All in all, I have to admit- 2017 was a great year! I’ve got to run my business while travelling and I hope to stick to this in the upcoming months as well. I feel like very excited about this year tho and I know that everything I’ve worked on during 2017 is going to make this year even more awesome!
