I can’t believe we’re now in the second quarter of 2017 & I’m so excited to share my first results of the year with you all! I’ve already shared my Q1 report, Q2 report, Q3 report & Q4 report of 2016 with you all. I hope you guys enjoyed following my growth through 2016 and will continue to do so in the future.

I truly believe that sharing is caring. Reading income + brand reports by other bloggers helped me big time on improving myself. For this reason, I decided to share my Blog + Business reports, so that my customers and readers can get a better idea of the behind the scenes of Kotryna Bass Blog + Design.

Alright, so here is the summary of how I did in the first quarter of 2017.

Income

I’m beyond excited to see that my Q1 of 2017 exceeded last year’s Q1 income. January turned out to be a particularly busy month as so many of you guys decided to start your year with starting a new blog or upgrading an old one. Well done!

For all of those wondering how the heck I make money from my blog + biz here are all of my sources:

Design Shop– 62%
ETSY– 14%
Affiliate Income- 16%
Blog Consulting– 6 %
Other- 2%

Total passive income: 82%

I took upon a few extra Custom Blog Design projects this month which ended up affecting my overall passive income score, but I actually really missed working on more advanced websites. I can’t wait to share all of the results with you guys!

This quarter I’ve also launched my blog consulting services which already brought me 6% of my income and I hope to grow this field even further this year. If you’re looking for some help in turning your blog into your business- drop me a line & we will get to work!

My affiliate income sadly decreased this quarter, but when comparing my last year’s income report, I can see that first quarter of the year is usually slower in this area. I’m already making a plan for my affiliate advertising structure to grow my earnings in Q2 and particularly- Q4 of 2017.

Expences

Q1 of the year always ends up to be a bit pricey as that’s when I pay for the majority of my yearly services. Thus, this quarter I had to cover my web hosting fees as well as pay for Zendesk & Leadpages. I wish to sign up for more paid e-courses in Q2 and start investing more into my growth.

Traffic

January was crazy in traffic! Seriously, I almost doubled my usual monthly stats which raised the bar for the next months & I was a bit disappointed to see that February & March didn’t meet my expectations. To be honest with you tho, I wasn’t that engaged during these two months as I worked on re-designing my blog & finishing off my custom design projects. I have no regrets tho. I know my traffic will pick up in the next season and I’m so ready for that!

Social Media

Here are some of the numbers I took note of on January 1st, 4th of April, 6th of July, 3d of October and today:

Pinterest: 3368 → 3961

By now, I feel like I have a strong audience behind my back which I trust and I seriously don’t like looking at the numbers that much. I feel like my social media followers are growing every quarter and that’s really what I feel so grateful about. I wish to care less about the number and more about every single one of you. This year, I dedicate for engagement, making new friends & helping my tribe!

Newsletter

I feel like I have a clear strategy for growing my e-mail list & I really don’t have to hustle that hard anymore. Am I satisfied?

As always, I feel like the sky is the limit & I could have done better, but I also could have done way worse. I feel like this season was just a perfect balance between hard work & pleasure in my life and that’s what I truly needed after a busy end of 2016. I feel super excited about 2017 and I can’t wait to share my future reports with you all!
