I personally use a list-style layout for my categories as I love having a little excerpt next to my post’s thumbnail, but you can also just display your posts in full or use grid style category display. Don’t forget to include visible sharing buttons to your site. They come with most of the themes by default, but you can also use SumoMe if you’re on WordPress to get the sliding social media & make it stand-out even more.

The quickest way to upgrade your blog’s design is to get a premade blog template that can be downloaded in seconds. Usually, these are super easy to set up & trust me, premium themes look & function so much better than any other free theme you’d find online.

You need to start thinking about improving your SEO score asap if you haven’t yet. Fist, make sure to sign up for Google Analytics so that you can get track of your stats. Then- follow these 7 easy steps to make sure your blog is SEO friendly & can easily be found on all the other websites.

5. START SCHEDULING

Look, you don’t have to hustle 24/7 to make sure your blog runs smoothly every single day. By using some of the top scheduling tools you can save loads of time that you can later use to improve your blog’s content, learn something new or make useful connections. Social media sharing can take hours & with the right technique, it can all be minimised to an hour a week or less!

6. CROSS-LINK

Whatever you do- you can’t go far without a clear plan. Take time & prepare yourself a list of tasks you need to follow in order to improve your blog, make sure to dedicate time of the year/month for reflecting on your goals & improvement. Since the beginning of the year, I started sharing quarterly reports on my blog. It really helps me see how far I’ve come & helps me focus.
